The McTavish SUP range consists of 3 performance models that have been developed at McTavish HQ over the past 12 months, and there's something for everybody in the range.
The 10 footer is a perfect platform for beginners, and the 9'6" and 9'0" offer high performance riding for the intermediate and advanced customers.
Bob has worked extensively with Ray Gleave, Alan Atkins, and many other SUP customers to get these boards to the cutting edge of SUP design. The boards borrow heavily from proven surfboard models in the McTavish range, so performance is guaranteed.
9'0" SUP MODEL - The 9'0" McTavish SUP is the highest performer in the SUP range, suited to conditions 3ft and over, right up to 8-10ft. The template is narrow in the nose, like a conventional Shortboard, and features a single flyer tail template, which narrows the tail width, as well as providing a pivot point right under your feet. The rails are also just a blown-up version of a performance Shortboard rail, giving maximum control and feedback. The Quad + centre box fin set-up allows for a variety of fin configurations, to suit the riders preference. This board is for the advanced rider from 60-90KG, and light-weight intermediates.
9'6" SUP MODEL - The 9'6" McTavish SUP is a perfect all-rounder, suited to beginners under 90KG, and intermediate/ advanced riders under 110KG. The 9'6" has a fuller 'fish' style template, with a bit more width in the nose and tail, and fuller rails. This give maximum buoyancy and control while paddling, but doesn't compromise on performance when you get going. The double flyer tail design brings the template in where your feet pivot the board, for easy rail to rail surfing. Best suited to waves from 2 to 6-8 ft. The Quad + centre box fin set-up gives maximum versatility, and practical features like the centre carry handle and EVA foam deck make this an easy SUP to live with.
10'0" SUP MODEL - The 10'0" SUP is the workhorse of the McTavish range, able to handle beginners up to 100KG, and advanced riders up to 120KG. This board has plenty of floatation, but still rips once you're moving. The template and rails borrow heavily from our successful 'Carver Fish' model, and the rocker profile is more progressive than a lot of larger SUP's. The twin-flyer tail template brings in the tail width for more response off the tail, while the straighter rail curve allows for stable walking, and extra trim speed. The Quad + centre box fin set-up allows you to start out with a 2+1 set-up, getting a feel for the board, and move onto a quad when you want to loosen things up. This is one for the bigger guy, looking for real performance.

The Über Fish is designed for Stand Up paddle Surfers who have progressed in their ability and want to add another element to their surfing.
In small to medium sized waves, you will find the Über Fish performs sensationally. It is very responsive indeed. The board also features 3/4 length deck traction that is recessed into the board. The Epoxy construction allows the board to be light weight for its size and very durable.
This year we have introduced the new 10'2 Über Fish, ideal for all weights. The new 10'2 Über Fish 2 is a slightly higher performance model Fish style SUP. It is designed to be surfed hard. You will find the board to be super responsive and a pleasure to surf.

ubercruz:
The Über Cruz has been designed for use predominantly as a flat water paddler. The design does allow the board to be surfed as well.
The trials of the board showed it to be a fantastic performer for the SUP enthusiast who wants to put in the miles.
Constructed using the Epoxy / Wood lay up the board is super light weight for its size.

C4 Bat Wing Swallow  9' SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner, 75 to 125 pounds; intermediate up to 150 lbs; advanced up to 190 lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: While this smaller and more manageable SUP was designed for lighter surfers like kids and girls, it features contemporary shortboard components that make it a front-line preference of the C4 surf team when they want a board for high performance surfing and/or competition. Under the command of advanced riders this thin, light, progressive-rocker SUP shortboard refuses to take no for an answer.

C4 Swallow 9'6" SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner, 75 to 135 lbs; intermediate up to 170 lbs; advanced up to 200 lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: This state-of-the-art ‘short SUP fuses a neutral rocker to a Fish-like template. The crisp edges and fuller rails keeps the C4 ‘Swish lubricated at high speeds, allowing immediate response in hard turns--------yet this board is buoyant and stable enough for most intermediate and advanced surfers to paddle around comfortably for hours.

C4 BK Pro 10'  SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner, 75 to 145 lbs; intermediate up to 185 lbs; advanced up to 215 lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: The Brian Kealuana Model is the end result of a design evolution that commenced with the very first SUP ‘short board≠ back in 2003. This board combines a constant-curve Hawaii rocker which is calibrated to accelerate at nose and tail in sync with the pulled-in outline. The thickness distribution tapers toward the tail to allow harder turns at higher speeds, and the wing-swallow reduces tail area under the back foot, and grants greater adhesion and torque in carving turns. If you are keen on progressive, full-tilt SUP surfing and really want to push the edge of the performance envelope, this is the board for you.

C4 SUP - Stand Up Paddle Surfboard
Dave Parmenter and Brian Keaulana need no introduction: Dave is a former pro surfer and revered innovative custom shaper. Brian is a mentor of surfers worldwide. Together, they have spent years designing boards at the testing grounds of Makaha Beach. When they designed the 1st known 10' SUP (stand up board), they took the sport to a new level. They are high-performance boards, the perfect blend of rocker and curves, allowing them to paddle fast and be loose in the surf.

10ft SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner, 75 to 165lbs; intermediate up to 200 lbs; advanced up to 220 lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: Probably the most versatile of all the C4 designs. The performance available from this stock 10-footer belies it's bulk: At first glance it might resemble a garden-variety ‘long board shape, but the rails, rocker, deck line, and flat bottom are all stripped from the short board design tree. The C4 10'0" paddles a foot longer but surfs a foot shorter. And while these nimble but stable boards are the workhorses of our demo fleet, don't be surprised to see them in the finals of SUP competitions.

10ft 6in SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner, 75 to 180 lbs; intermediate up to 220 lbs; advanced up to 250 lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: The 10'6" incorporates the same design components as the 10-footer--------progressive rocker, balanced outline, and flat deck and bottom-------to deliver the same friskiness to a longer and wider plan-shape. The extra length and width accommodates cruising and flat-water paddlers, while its hot rod components satisfy even the most advanced SUP surfer. Our most popular SUP board.

11ft 6in SUP
Rider guidelines: Beginner up to 250 lbs; intermediate and advanced up to 300+ lbs.
DESIGN NOTES: This model is the culmination of over a decade spent refining Brian Keaulana≠s tandem surfboards. Brian asks for a lot from his tandem boards-------------he snap turns his big boards and charges Point surf and does ‘helicopters on them--------he just won't settle for a chunk of sidewalk that allows him to merely pose straight-off in the whitewater. The 11'6" Standem model is the Cadillac of our fleet. Possessing the same design features that propel the 10'0" and the 10'6", this board provides the SUP surfer with stability and glide unmatched by much larger SUP boards on the market. Something of a cross-over design, this board also doubles as a tandem surfboard, rescue board, or even a super light and playful tanker for the Big Bruddah.
