Channel Islands Code Fusion Dual Core
Channel Island’s team rider and 1977 World Champ Shaun Tomson, collaborated with Surftech on this design for the young at heart that craves a performance, board but still wants to get the most out of the average waves they often find themselves riding. The Code Fusion Dual-Core features more volume, which along with the Dual-Core allows for easy paddling and increased wave count. A single concave under the front foot allows for punchy drive on takeoffs and the double concave blending to a vee provides lift and easy rail- to-rail transitions.

“The volume in the Jalapeño is distributed to encourage paddle power yet stay agile off the tail with a refined rounded pin. Designed as a versatile all round performance model the Jalapeño has a single to double concave with a slight vee in the tail allowing for speed control and release during high speed rail turns. The Jalapeño is a great option for the one board surfer looking for a model that can be surfed in just about any conditions from 2 to 3 feet beach breaks to over head hollow waves. The extra width through the nose and slightly reduced entry rocker makes the Jalapeño easy to paddle and fast from the take off. The versatile 5 fin setup adds to its diversity and allows surfing in hollow, barreling waves.”

“The Rocket 9 is suited to your average waves like we find around California. It works great in beach breaks because it can be skatey when you want to generate that speed, but then you step back on that tail and you can absolutely hammer some vert wall. I also think that with the shorter nature of it, it fits really well in the tighter transitions of beach breaks. I have ridden it on big open walls of some point breaks in Morocco and it went well too, kind of like a little scalpel or snowboard, but I think the optimal range for this board would be 2 to 6 foot beach breaks.
The Rocket 9 outline has the wide point forward a bit and the tail is pulled in making it super snappy and maneuverable. The swallow gives a great fast release as well. One of the major desires for this board was I wanted was to go fast and then turn hard when I wanted in waves ranging from super average California beach breaks all the way to grinding little tubes. It’s one of the most versatile boards I have ever ridden.
I like to ride my Rocket 9 two inches shorter than my normal shortboard length. With the wider outline up front its able to hide a bit of volume under the chest to make the paddling still super easy even though you are on a shorter board. “ – Dane Gudauskas

This design is the first Nugget Geoff McCoy shaped in 1994. Proven to be a very versatile performer in a wide range of wave conditions from 1′ to 8′ all around the surfing world; thicker wider and shorter with more volume and buoyancy than you have had before, easy to paddle and catch waves, easy to control, with more speed than you have had in years! When it starts to barrel, you will be laughing.”

In 2000 the original Pod rapidly became a global favorite, allowing surfers to drop six inches off their shortboards and revolutionize punting.
The Torq Pod Mod design is a heavily modified Pod, designed to be ridden even shorter and wider than the original, catering to the surfer that wants a little more volume forward to catch waves but doesn’t want to sacrifice performance. The tail has been widened for small wave glide, and the original single to double concave has been replaced with a flat entry to concave vee for quick rail to rail transitions.
Experienced surfers ride this board 3”- 6” shorter than you are tall.
TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY
X-Lite is a torq Epoxy technology developed specifically for performance boards. This is lighter, stronger and more Eco than a traditional PU/Polyester board, now with a 50% thinner Shield Skin for weight reduction. This innovative technology is used exclusively on the X-Lite Channel Islands models; the best selling Pod Mod and all new Chancho.
The Pod Mod features an Impact Mesh layer on the deck for strength and ding resistance, the Chancho features a Carbon Strip on the deck for longitudinal strength and responsiveness.

Our fin system is designed by Futures Fins of California - one of the most respected fin systems on the planet.

A sled for any waves up to 4ft. Whether you are a Longboarder looking for a step down or a shortboarder looking for some extra volume for the smallest days, this board will make you stoked for even the weakest surf.
The shape is short and wide providing loads of planing area and with around 30% more volume than the Thruster, loads of float too. The rocker is flat for maximum speed and the foil carries out to the rail so you can power through turns without bogging the rail.
With 5 Futures fin boxes, the Summer 5 can be ridden as Quad or Thruster.

This is a funboard on steroids! For this concept we’ve used the overall plan shape of a minimal/funboard and boosted the width and volume along the length and foil. The result is a manageable, easy turning length with the paddle and float of a much larger board.
For improving surfers, this offers stability, paddle power and wave catching ability. For heavier surfers you’ll find the float you need in a much shorter length. The single to double concave means you can still put this board on a rail.
With 5 Futures fin boxes, the BigBoy 23 can be ridden as Quad or Thruster.
