Modern Blackbird X2 - Bamboo
The Modern Blackbird range offers a flowing ride for the savviest of surfer, and our X-2 bamboo construction produces a light, extremely durable surfboard that's particularly strong on the deck.
OUTLINE: Classified as a fun shape, the outline is full and generous from nose to tail providing maximum stability on small to medium size waves. The rounded nose keeps the area up front and allows the rider to comfortably shift their weight forward. The slight taper through the tail lets you manoeuvre the board with ease.
ROCKER: Low-to-moderate rocker makes this board paddle onto waves really well, accelerate from the take off with minimal effort, and make flowing turns on the face of the wave.
CONTOURS: Vee-to-double concave bottom makes for easy rail-to-rail transitions, and offers control when driving off the tail.
FOIL: Designed with plenty of volume in the nose and tail, and out towards the rails, which provides added stability and makes this board simple to ride regardless of your skill level.
FINS: The 7'0 and 7'6 models are set up as a thruster to really maximize maneuverability, while the larger sizes, 8'0 and 9'1 come with a single box fin setup plus two side FCS fins for a more controlled feel.
The Blackbird has a bigger ‘sweet spot’ compared to other funboards on the market. This is a reliable board that will remain in your quiver for years.

The M2 has all the elements of a performance longboard in a much more compact package.
The center of the board is fairly straight and flat – this is the paddle and trim area, the functional section. At the front there’s a wide longboard nose with a single concave underneath – perfect for nose rides. From the mid-point back the template narrows into a round tail with a double concave vee underneath making this mini malibu super maneuverable off the tail.
A true Mini Malibu for all surfers in waves of 1ft to double overhead. The 4/3 set-up allows ultimate fin versatility.

Sized between 6-7′ it is a sporty version of our Mega Magic. Designed for the bigger guy who is looking for a bigger shortboard (rather than the Mega Magic which is a shorter longboard). The Mini Mega Magic has more of a shortboard outline with a pulled in nose, and a lot of extra volume for maximum floatation yet it is still highly maneuverable.
The Mini Mega Magic has the famous Magic Model elements: our patented concave bottom, hard rails & lots of rocker. About 1/2-1″ thicker and 1-2″ wider than a standard Magic Model.
The nose and tail of the Mini Mega Magic 2 have been pulled in just slightly to loosen the board up, we took out the step deck for a smoother transition from deck to rail creating a thinner rail for more sensitivity, feel and control.
Our super durable X2 construction makes this model the perfect travel companion for surfers needing a board that will perform to high standards and also withstand some tough treatment.
We Introduced FCSII fin boxes to the whole line up, snap in fins allow more versatility of fin selection on the fly.

Technical Information
X2 Epoxy Construction
This construction is used exclusively in the NSP and Surf Series programs. It focuses on making the surfboard a durable as possible. The EPS core is reinforced with Fiberglass and then a top sheet of Top Sheet is added to enhance the overall strength of the board. All the layers are fused together using a special epoxy resin that helps to create what we think is the most durable performance orientated Surfboard construction available on the market globally right now.
