  • “The BEAN transfers the performance features of a standard shortboard into a more compact design that’s incredibly fast and responsive in small-to-medium size waves. A generous nose template distributes extra volume into the front half of the board, while added width through the centre creates a platform for immediate drive and start-up acceleration.

Low entry rocker further enhances speed; this is offset by moderate rocker through the tail which helps to maintain manoeuvrability in steeper waves. The BEAN retains the thickness, rail volume and foil of a performance shortboard and combines a shallow single-to-double concave with vee running out through the tail. The result is a board that’s frisk, lively and a ton of fun.

Ride the BEAN 3-to-6 inches shorter than your regular shortboard. The versatility of the BEAN is further enhanced with a tri-quad fin configuration allowing it to be set up as a thruster or a quad”

  • “The Magic Mushroom is a shorter, wider version of a standard shortboard that allows you shorten the arc of your turn, surf tight in the pocket, and generate exceptional speed.

Extra width positioned through the center of the board compensates for the reduction in length, while the rocker profile and bottom contours mimic that of a high performance shortboard. The hip positioned just forward of the fins reduces the tail width to maintain the rail-to-rail sensitivity and response of a much narrower board.

The smaller sizes will have advanced riders exploring above the lip, the bigger sizes will suit heavier riders who want to surf to their full potential. Surf the Mushy approximately 4 inches shorter than your standard shortboard.”

  • “The volume in the Jalapeño is distributed to encourage paddle power yet stay agile off the tail with a refined rounded pin. Designed as a versatile all round performance model the Jalapeño has a single to double concave with a slight vee in the tail allowing for speed control and release during high speed rail turns. The Jalapeño is a great option for the one board surfer looking for a model that can be surfed in just about any conditions from 2 to 3 feet beach breaks to over head hollow waves. The extra width through the nose and slightly reduced entry rocker makes the Jalapeño easy to paddle and fast from the take off. The versatile 5 fin setup adds to its diversity and allows surfing in hollow, barreling waves.”

  • Short, wide, fast and fun the Aloha Black Bean has a short rail line that fits perfectly into the smallest pocket. The small curvy outline helps in the weakest of beach breaks by decreasing drag and increasing speed which is the key to this little pocket rocket. The medium to low rail helps to draw out turns and control speed which the Black Bean has in spades!

The flat entry rocker enables instant acceleration when combined with a single to double concave allowing full control at speed, the subtle diamond tail provides multiple pivot points for turning in the most critical sections of dumpy little shore breaks. For experienced surfers ride this little whip 1 or 2 litres in volume above your standard short board or for the intermediate surfers go up 6 to 8 litres and take full advantage of the paddle power and stability.

“The Black dot is a super versatile small wave performance board. It is fast, easy to surf, paddles well and can be ridden with a performance approach in a huge range of conditions.

It has a single through to double concave with a whisker of vee of the rear fin, making it fast off the mark and loose in the pocket and can be pushed hard off the corners of the swallowtail through turns. The relaxed entry rocker aids in paddling and drive with the more generous tail rocker allowing fast, sharp turns and carves.

The outline and foam distribution is balanced and gives the appearance of a performance swallow tail shortboard that has been compressed,  widened and flattened slightly. Ride one at your normal volume, or a tiny bit over and feel the benefits to your surfing this little gem provides.”

  • The Black Panda is a feature packed groveller which absolutely flies down the line and can be turned on a dime.

It has lot of available volume squeezed into a small board to keep the foam both under your chest and feet. The outline is wide which is offset by a flyer by the fins that keeps the tail width more refined. The tail is the often overlooked diamond tail, which has the benefits of the bite of a swallow tail with the hold and control of a rounded pin tail and perfectly sets up the the water flow of the bottom contours. The Black Panda has a soft channel that runs right through the centre of the board and feeds water to the fins, this gets it up and running really quickly and when put on rail feels like it is on tracks.

The Black Panda, being a groveller, is best ridden with one or two litres more than your shortboard. Summer surfs and lousy looking waves will never look more fun than with a Black Panda in the quiver.”
