Torq Tec Chopper 

Cruise with power and style

The Torq Chopper is a versatile shape – it’s a cruisey ride when the conditions suit, but give it a big open face and it’ll fire on all cylinders.

This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This is a funboard on steroids: on paper it’s a funboard and if you’re looking to catch green waves and do some turns, the width, volume and length means this board will do it all day long – it’s perfect for you. But in the hands of a seasoned surfer it’ll come alive.

Think of it as a shortboard with a little extra width in the nose but all the performance features to surf hard and fast. One customer genuinely told us “I was smiling so much I got sunburnt teeth!”.

ACT:

Torq ACT surfboards are the world’s first EPS/Epoxy Pre-Preg surfboards. The technological advantages are immense, but the most significant advantage is 100% controlled process with ZERO surplus resin.

On any surfboard the resin’s function is to hold the fiber in place. It offers little structural integrity of it’s own, little flex and little impact strength. As a material without the fiber it is heavy and brittle. Any surplus resin is dead weight - resisting flex, adding weight.

With Pre-Preg process the perfect amount of resin is added to the cloth by machine, before the shaped blank is laid up - zero surplus, zero dead weight.

Torq Tec Rusty Egg Not - White

Simply put, the Egg Not is a squash tail version of our mid-length board, the eGG. With the increasing popularity of mid-lengths, we decided it was more or less a given that we offer a squash tail mid-length board. The Squash tail adds a little more area, lengthens the rail line, and has a more pivoty feel compared to a roundtail. The Egg Not is a great board to have in your quiver. When the surf is average, you’ll have plenty of wave catching ability and it will carry through sections but the board will still be loose enough to turn with ease. As a plus, when the surf gets a bit bigger, it still works surprisingly well! The Egg Not features a relaxed rocker on the front end of the board which helps with paddle speed, wave catching, and overall glide. The curve is a bit above average which translates to helping tighten the arc of your turns without giving up speed. The thickness of the board is a little on the thin side for a board this size. These leaner rails make the board easier to put in the water and also helps it hold better in bigger surf. Fin setup here is your call. For a higher performance feel we recommend a 4-fin setup. If you’re looking for something a little cruisier or more traditional feel do a 2 plus one setup.

TEC - TORQ EPOXY COMPOSITE

• Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our state-of-the-art epoxy layup. These boards have the best balance of Lightweight versus Durability. Using our own unique lamination process, we are able to use a very strong fiberglass lay-up of 6oz and 4oz combined in 3 layered deck and 2 layered base (with a 4 layered rail lap) with a high density EPS foam, but still achieve a board weight that matches a lightweight fiberglass lay-up.
  
  
• The result is light but very strong board, with good flex characteristics and as with all torq's, excellent value for money.
  
  
• The TEC shortboards have 2 full layers of fiber over the deck and bottom. On the deck we use an extra 6oz deck patch with gives triple layer ding resistance, but doesn't resist the flex along the rail. The addition of a carbon filament stringer and UD carbon twin strips on the base makes these super springy and responsive.

Your home break is weak and small most of the time. You are a big human that can still surf really well but there's not a surfboard out there that has enough foam/volume for you. The Jumbo Jet has a 2 + 1 fin set up that turns easily thanks to the smooth lines of the round tail. Complimented by a tucked edge in the tail and modern rocker the Jumbo Jet accommodates the surfer that wants to go down the line, hit the section, and move the board where ever it needs to go.

Throw in a little nose concave to help create lift for those heavier surfers allowing them to nose ride like a champ. The Jumbo Jet goes well in all conditions from small crappy beach breaks to beautiful points and steeper more challenging waves.

The shorter versions of the Jumbo Jet (7'2 and 8’0) will work a treat, they’re like the 'big guys' shortboard. These boards are for anyone that needs a little bit of help increasing their wave count. The Walden MAGIC Model stands the test of time due to its versatility and unique design features. With an emphasis on performance, with a single concave running from the nose through to the midpoint creates lift and stability, which is perfect for controlled nose riding.

The Mini Magic Dual-Core is a scaled down version of Walden's famous Magic Model. This is a good choice for a smaller surfer, people who are transitioning from a shortboard to a longboard or vice versa - longboarders wanting to go shorter while still maintaining some volume and float. The Dual-Core gives the Mini Magic the best of both style of constructions with PolyUrethane on the rails and EPS in the Center. The PU foam is laminated to the EPS with a TPU material which provides more pop and response.
Like the bigger Magic Model the hull has a unique design, the front 1/2 of the hull is concave, this single concave transitions into a double concave in the rear 1/3 and ends towards the tail that has a moderate “V”. The double concaved hull and hard rails make the board fast, stabile, responsive and maneuverable in all conditions. This board performs as well as slow surf as it does on speedy beach breaks. The Mini Magic maneuvers well out of turns while maintaining a forgiving nature, and is an excellent nose rider too.
