The full laminated core ensures a rigid, highly durable board which will out last most other surf boards.
The Volume Plus sizes add another level of accessibility to surfing with mega stability and wave catching bouyancy.

SOFT DECK EVA
Built using the latest in EPS/Epoxy materials; the torq soft technology combines a lightweight EPS core with Biaxial fiberglass cloth, Epoxy resin, the EVA Soft Deck takes the Soft Deck to the next level with a textured EVA - a textured, more durable foam that doesn't need wax.
Our unique combination of advanced materials, high tech construction and integrated Futures fin boxes creates a board that is both light and extraordinarily strong and durable; ensuring your new torq surfboard will keep you stoked from your first wave to your last.

Construction: Soft Shell (Soft)
Boards with Soft Shell construction feature much more technology then the eye can see. They are a combination of materials designed to allow the board to perform to the highest levels given the constraints of the flexibility of the materials. All boards feature an integrated Fin System, 2 or 3 Wooden Stringers depending on the size of the board to ensure the board is stiff enough. A lightweight EPS core combined with a PE foam layer on the deck and a High-Density PE Slick that is mounted to a thin PE Foam layer on the bottom give the board an awesome feel in the water. Mick Fanning Catfish - Grey
The Mick Fanning Cat Fish is fast and super fun! Inspired by the speed and flow of boards from the experimental 1970’s where there were no rules!
This hybrid design has a slightly decreased nose area when compared to a standard keel or quad fish, the bottom is designed to increase water flow under the front foot and then release it with ease through the fins and tail. The result is fast acceleration with drive out of turns.
This design is a response to wanting to have a softboard in the quiver that will surf in a more diverse range of conditions, you won’t need tp reach for the standard shortboard until the waves are head high.
