The Mod Fun is the ultimate all rounder, promising the best combination of stability and progression. First time surfers will enjoy the stability and easy paddling of the larger sizes. Improving surfers find the rocker and tail shapes on the smaller boards enable easy turning and progression.
The full laminated core ensures a rigid, highly durable board which will out last most other surf boards.
The Volume Plus sizes add another level of accessibility to surfing with mega stability and wave catching bouyancy.

Built using the latest in EPS/Epoxy materials; the torq soft technology combines a lightweight EPS core with Biaxial fiberglass cloth, Epoxy resin, the EVA Soft Deck takes the Soft Deck to the next level with a textured EVA - a textured, more durable foam that doesn't need wax.
Our unique combination of advanced materials, high tech construction and integrated Futures fin boxes creates a board that is both light and extraordinarily strong and durable; ensuring your new torq surfboard will keep you stoked from your first wave to your last.

Mick Fanning Kuma Fish
The World Surf League (WSL) x MF Softboards Global Shaper Challenge was conceived to raise awareness of the creatives who are the heart and soul of the sport of surfing as part of the WSL's #StayLocal campaign, which shines a light on the world's best surfers supporting their local surf communities and inspiring surfers everywhere to do the same.
Shapers, designers and creatives from all surf regions globally were invited to enter a CNC file and softboard design concept and the response was overwhelming.
Four designs were selected through a public vote via the WSL Instagram story to progress to the final.
Designs from Alex Crews @acsod, Axel Lorentz @pukassurf @axellorentz, Mitsunori Kumagai @kumasurfboards and Gerardo Candelaria Perez @cevichesurfco were produced utilising MF Softboards production process which is the global bench mark for performance softboards.
Along with the four finalists Mick also selected two entries to move directly into the final. The wildcards are Duke Aipa @aipasurf and Kamalei Woolsey Alexander from @modernhawaiiancollective.
Starting with the CNC file that each designer submitted during round one of the competition we milled their design from an EPS blank. Once the EPS core was finish shaped our Hybrid Carbon Spine and Epoxy Shell construction was utilised to ensure maximum performance in the water.
All six boards were delivered to Mick for him to put them through their paces on the peeling righthand walls of his home break Snapper Rocks.

Mitsunori Kumagai is KUMA surfboards shaper. He was born and grew up in Japan. In 2005 Kuma decided to move to Australia to pursue his passion of surfing and make surfboards. His first board was shaped in a garage at a rented house. Since then he has been shaping surfboards for 15 years.

Critical Slide Fun Guy Epoxy Soft -Plein Air
The Epoxy Soft construction makes the Fun Guy a magical board to surf, offering a smooth ride for every skill level. This model is classified as a fun board which is fitting in the sense that it will paddle superior to others in the line up, feel comfortable under your feet & gather speed easily too, hence increasing the fun when taking the fun Guy for a paddle.
There is a performance element to this model to however, single/double concave for speed & moderate rockers through out to give you the option of turning in more critical parts of the wave. Don’t let the soft exterior fool you this board will take you where ever you want to go on a wave.
OUTLINE: Classified as a fun shape, the outline is full and generous from nose to tail providing maximum stability on small to medium size waves. The rounded nose keeps the area up front and allows the rider to comfortably shift their weight forward. The slight taper through the tail lets you maneuver the board with ease.
ROCKER: Low, relaxed rocker makes this board paddle onto waves really well, accelerate from the take off with minimal effort, and allow for flowing turns on the face of the wave.
CONTOURS: Vee-to-double concave bottom makes for easy rail-to-rail transitions and offers control when driving off the tail.
FOIL: Designed with plenty of volume in the nose and tail, and out towards the rails, which provides added stability and makes this board simple to ride for surfers transitioning from the wastewater to unbroken waves.

The Epoxy Soft Construction is a real game changer in the soft surfboard market. When you break it down it's a multi layer construction that comprises of a PE deck skin that is supported by a thin wood veneer layer that is housing a epoxy resin and fibreglass wrapped machine shaped EPS core. About this board
- The Gnaraloo Softshell Flounder Pounder combines shortboard performance into one of the most user-friendly softboard designs on the market.
