The Epoxy Soft construction makes the Salt Gypsy Mid Tide epoxy softboard a magical surfboard offering a smooth ride for every skill level. This model is classified as a fun board which is fitting in the sense that it will paddle superior to others in the line-up, feel comfortable under your feet and gather speed easily too, hence increasing the fun when taking the Mid Tide for a paddle.
The generous outline (shape) and ‘easy on the eye’ curves mean this board strikes the perfect balance between drawing long smooth lines in cruise mode and banking a nice turn on the open face.
Think easy paddling, lots of stability and enough turning response to satisfy the savvy Salt Gypsy wanting to really wet the rail.
All ages, all conditions… The Mid Tide is basically an all-round cruiser that will adapt to the rider’s ability.
*All Salt Gypsy surfboards were tested and designed with appropriate dimensions and volume allocations to suit female surfers so they can get the most out of every wave.
- Construction: The Epoxy Soft Construction is a real game changer in the soft surfboard market. When you break it down it's a multi layer construction that comprises of a PE deck skin that is supported by a thin wood veneer layer that is housing a epoxy resin and fibreglass wrapped machine shaped EPS core. The bottom layer is a High Density PE skin. When you add it all up it gives a high level of performance with a fun soft board feel.

They are a combination of materials designed to allow the board to perform to the highest levels given the constraints of the flexibility of the materials. All boards feature an integrated Fin System, 2 or 3 Wooden Stringers depending on the size of the board to ensure the board is stiff enough. A lightweight EPS core combined with a PE foam layer on the deck and a High-Density PE Slick that is mounted to a thin PE Foam layer on the bottom give the board an awesome feel in the water.
