Modern longboarding has a variety of skill and style that is hard to compare in any other sport. Depending on the surfer, or the wave, or the board, it can be a dance or a martial art. It can be light footed poise or powerful drive, straight line trim or vertical snaps, nose rides or carves. A true modern high performance longboard has to be capable of all of these things.
The Don is stable on the nose, straight and fast through the middle and lively in the tail. The Don XL is higher volumed version of the Don for heavier surfers, slightly more nose oriented to enable more stable nose riding, but still super responsive in the tail. The added advantage of the Torq TEC construction; lightweight, strong and super responsive makes the wide repertoire of moves easier and more dynamic.
LONGBOARD LAY-UP
For lengths of 8'6 and over we have introduced a T-stringer and carbon stringer to the deck and bottom for a new level of torsional strength. The torq longboard technology is incredibly strong, light and responsive.
With 3 layers of glass on the deck and 2 layers on the base, these are super strong, light and feel fast under your feet.

Paulownia is one of the fastest growing trees in the world, capable of growth rates of well over seven feet per year! Paulownia timber is perfectly suited as a sustainable alternative in surfboard production due to its lightweight and proportionately natural strength characteristics.
Some species of plantation Paulownia can be harvested for saw timber in as little as five years.
Once Paulownia trees are harvested, they regenerate from their existing root systems, earning them the name of the “Phoenix tree”.
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam is very light and strong. EPS foam has more buoyancy and floatation increasing paddling speed and manoeuvrability

The Torq 9’1 is a more traditional noserider, focussed on stability and trim. It is excellent for both developing and skilled longboarders aiming for traditional style surfing in smaller waves. Low rockered a wide nose, these are super stable with tons of glide. The 9’1 has a harder rail through the tail with a double concave vee for manoeuvrability.

The Don Nose Rider is a mix of our all round performance Don model with a more traditional Noserider. Up front is a wide nose, low entry rocker and teardrop concave – a sure fire combination for stability and tip time. But unlike a traditional noserider with soft rolled rails and vee bottom, the Don NR combines a hard rail and double concave vee in the tail of a more modern longboard.
This combination blends the best of a traditional noserider with the best of a modern longboard in a lightweight, super strong epoxy package. Turns out you can please all the people all the time.

Performance minimal’s are one of the funnest, most versatile boards you can own. Great for first waves, perfect for gliding small clean waves and with the paddle and pick up for larger or junkier surf.
Usually a performance minimal comes at a cost; the size of the board means to make it lightweight they are inherently weak and lose their responsive feel quickly or simply break. With the Torq TEC construction you get a lightweight board with all the strength of a much heavier one and much more responsivity.
Our combination of carbon strips on the top and bottom make these boards super lively and surf a lot shorter than their length.

Walden Magic Wahine Fusion HD - 8'0"
Walden Surfboards was the first company to design an entire line of surfboards just for women called Walden Wahine, they didn't just add a token pink surfboard to the existing men's line but rather they created an entire range of surfboards for the full range of women surfers. We slimmed out the dimensions and made a slightly narrower Magic Model, we kept all the performance but sized the boards especially for women...oh yeah, and made them really beautiful.
About out Magic Model:
The Magic Model is the original modern longboard, an all around performance surfboard and nose rider. The Magic Model is designed for all wave heights and all skill levels, just as fun in small surf as it is in big surf. The Magic Model hull has a unique design, so unique it has a patent. Starting at the nose the hull has a single concave that transitions into a double concave about midway through the board and ends towards the tail forming a moderate “V” for fluid rail to rail transitions. The Magic Model rails have a hard edge from nose to tail, unlike round railed boards which push through water and allow water to wrap around the board slowing it down, the Magic's hard rails glide on top the water creating a sensitivity and quickness that makes the board fast and easy to turn. The Renaissance model revisits and revises the top longboard plan shape from the 1960’s; the height of the longboard era, and combines it with modern rocker, rail, and foil design elements to bring it into the present.
