FCS

FCS Fins were introduced to the Australian market in 1992 and released globally in 1994. The first FCS plug was patented shortly after the global release and it quickly became the world standard for removable fins. To this day FCS is the strongest, most successful, and also the most widely used fin system in the world. Designed in collaboration with the world's leading surf athletes and surfboard shapers, the FCS fin range offers a diverse range of surfboard fins suited to a variety of board models, wave conditions and surfing style. As well as fins the also make Board Bag Covers, Leashes and Traction Pads.

    • QUAD REAR PROFILE: A similar hybrid outline on the front and rear fins helps minimise turbulence + provides a smooth and predictable feel.
    • ENHANCED FOILS: Revolutionary new foil designed to grip longer through turns and promotes perfect rail to rail transitions.

    Performance Core Carbon

Often referred to as PC Carbon or PCC, these fins are highly responsive and feature strategically placed carbon that’s designed to complement the fin template. PCC fins suit fast surfing and are favored by power surfers who like to perform explosive turns on critical parts of the wave.

The new PCC Essential Series fins have been constructed using AirCore technology, which is a pressed polyurethane foam core that mimics the geometric foil of the fin. With AirCore we can make a much lighter fin with total manipulation of the flex.

The internal carbon framework is designed specifically to suit each template, and by switching to epoxy resin and adding a carbon twill to the base we’ve delivered a more user-friendly flex pattern. Stiffness in the lower half of the fin enhances drive and acceleration from take-off, and a softer flex through the top half of the fin results in a smoother and more predictable feel when turning.

  • FCS II Mason Ho Signature Fin

Mason Ho's Signature fin. Welcome to Mason's world, and welcome to Mason's new fin.

    Overview

Mase is calling this his new magic fin!

The new Mason Ho signature fin is a mashup of different templates. We took influences from Kelly Slater's original K-3 and Mick Fanning's signature templates, then reworked the flex, foil and tip profile based on extensive testing and feedback from Mason himself.
This might just be the fin to rule them all...

Sitting in the Accelerator Family, this all-purpose, all-conditions fin will feel steady when driving into a turn, and fast and loose off the top. Explosive is another word to describe how this fin responds, and in this case, the personality of the M.Ho fin totally matches the creator and rider. Fast, Loose & Fun!

Mason's fin features a bevelled leading edge which allows for silky smooth transitions between turns. Performance Core + AirCore construction makes the fin a touch lighter, the flex a little stiffer and overall more reactive compared to standard PC construction, which is again suited to Mason's punk style of surfing.

This fin had a long development runway. Mason was after one fin he could use in his small wave rock-hopping fun boards right through to his big wave pipe guns, and it wasn't until he was totally satisfied that we pulled the trigger.

Welcome to Mason's world, welcome to Mason's new fin.

"The fins have been all time!!! Got some crazy waves at Ala Moana and got to push them hard as I could in the big bowl on some turns; full control off the bottom and nice and loose off the top. They went totally crazy in the pool as well, great projection on the air sections". Mason Ho

  • FCS2 Matt Biolos Tri Fin Set - Blue

Design by Matt Biolos and refined by his diverse stable of elite team riders, the new high performance MB fin is an exciting addition to the range and sits comfortably in the Carver family.

Featuring a wide base, curved trailing edge and a tapered tip, this fin is primarily geared for performance power surfing. The bottom half of the fin produces exceptional power and drive, allowing surfers to push hard through turns while maintain a feeling of stability in critical situations. The tip, which narrows significantly from halfway up the fin, offers the freedom and agility to turn abruptly with confidence.

In contrast to Matt's original upright template (Reactor Family) that was loose and geared for tighter turns in beach breaks, the new MB template offers a balanced blend of drive, power and release that will suit more open-face waves and turns such as carves and power hacks. This fin also pairs particularly well with higher-rocker boards.

PC AirCore construction offers a stiffer flex allowing surfers to harness more power and speed when pushing ultra hard through turns.

    • A serious-looking fin for surfers who take their surfing seriously. A no-nonsense performance fin you can use in any of the high-performance Mayhem models.
    • Expect a burst of speed from the first pump down the line, a feeling of stability when laying into a rail carve, and a surprisingly lively release action when pushing turns through the lip.

    Ideal Conditions

    • Open face, down-the-line waves, particularly good in point and reef breaks.

  • FCS II MARK RICHARDS FREERIDE TWIN FINS

Mark Richard's popular 4 x World Title twin template. Highly upright twin, making for an ultra loose feel with fast release.

    Overview

The MR Freeride Twin fin takes us back to a time when Mark was reshaping the way surfers approached the wave. Cut from an old fibreglass skateboard deck, the original freeride fins paired with MR's revolutionary surfboard design changed the direction of surfboard design forever.

The Freeride twin sits very upright, making it super loose and free, with plenty of fast release off the top. The tip is more refined compared to his signature twin + 1, increasing the ability to pivot and turn on a dime.

    Board Types

    • Designed to fit the FCS II Fin System.
    • Perfect twin fin for any retro-style board.
    • Recommended for all board types including fish, funboard and twin fin boards.

    Performance Glass

Performance Glass (PG) fins have a rigid, highly responsive flex pattern that’s generally isolated towards the tip of the fin. This construction is widely used by advanced and pro-level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.

  • FCS II JS Tri Fin Set

Jason Stevenson's 'JS' shaper fin updated for 2023. Great for surfers looking for a fin that'll feel dependable in bigger waves, but still want the ability to release the tail and surf progressively in smaller waves.

    Overview

    • All new construction has enabled us to produce the most responsive JS fin to date. AirCore reduces weight and creates more stiffness in the bottom 2/3 of the fin. The carbon tissue inlay helps distribute the flex where it’s needed most and provides quicker memory recall when executing a turn.
    • The extra-long base produces lots of drive and speed. The tip is quite tapered and narrow which allows the fin to release out of the lip when pushed hard on more vertical angles of attack.
    • “The best surfers in the world have used this fin to win multiple events, so we know it works.” - Jason Stevenson
    • This fin is designed for intermediate and above surfers. On the open face it’ll feel secure when carving a longer turn, very smooth when transitioning between turns, with a nice offering of tail release when needed. This fin is all about flow!

    Board Types

    • This fin can be used across most if the JS range as well as other performance and hybrid models.
    • Performance boards with deep concaves and moderate-to-extreme rocker.

  • FCS II Power Twin + Stabiliser Fin Set - Natural/Alpine

    Overview

The FCS II Power Twin + 1 fin set, developed in collaboration with Harley Ingleby, is designed for surfers who crave a perfect balance of speed, drive, and maneuverability. The design of thishigh-performance twin set allows riders to apply more force through turns whileretaining control and flow. The moderate sweep (rake), full tip, and robust base generate impressive drive and speed, making it ideal for dynamic surfing across a variety of board types, from fish and funboards to straight twin fin setups. The lower depth value provides a loose, maneuverable feel, perfect for fluid top turns and smooth transitions, while the small stabiliser centre fin adds control and stability.

    Features:

    • Highest area twin set in the FCS range; as a result, can be pushed harder through turns.

    • Moderate sweep (rake), full tip and longer base deliver incredible drive and speed.

    • Lower depth value maintains manoeuvrability and looseness off the top and through turns.

    • Designed in collaboration with Harley Ingleby for use on his asymmetric twin model.

    • Twin fin + stabiliser

    Board Types

    • Designed to fit the FCS II Fin System.

    • Recommended for all board types including fish, funboard and twin fin boards.

    Performance Glass

Performance Glass (PG) construction. These fins are machine-cut from layers of solid fiberglass to ensure a stiff andhighly durable build. The PG materialmaintains flex integrity under immense force, making it a reliable choice even in extreme conditions and for pro-level surfers. • FCS II Album Twin + 1 Fin Set - White/Gold

    Overview

Designed by Matt Parker for his diverse range of twin fin models, the Album Twin +1 is super drivey and stable. The wide base, together with a robust tip that features a subtle point positioned at the top of the trailing edge, provides a burst of forward acceleration straight from the take-off.

The Album Twin has a neutral sweep but sits quite deep in the water, which offers a very stable feel when driving down the line and performing turns. This also adds an element of control and confidence for the surfer wanting to push this set in steeper sections.

The stabiliser fin mimics the outline of the side fin template and can be added to further enhance the predictability of this set.

"Super drivey with heaps of hold, certainly more stability than other templates in this category, and the tip profile has great forward acceleration." - Matt Parker

    Features:

    • Drivey Twin Template

    • Stable and predictable feel

    • Use with or without a trailer

    • Twin fin + stabiliser
